Cloud security terms in plain language

Cloud Security Health Check: A fixed-scope, read-only assessment of cloud posture across identity, data, network, logging, and configuration, delivered as a prioritized report.
Read-only access: Permissions that allow inspection of configuration and telemetry without changing workloads or production state.
IAM (identity and access management): Who can do what in your cloud — roles, keys, MFA, trust policies, and cross-account access.
Posture: The current security configuration of cloud accounts relative to baselines and real exposure — not a marketing score.
CIS Benchmarks: Consensus configuration baselines for cloud services; often the first technical yardstick for misconfiguration review.
NIST CSF: A flexible cybersecurity framework used by boards and risk teams to organize identify/protect/detect/respond/recover themes.
Framework mapping: Linking each technical finding to the control themes auditors, insurers, or buyers already use.
Remediation: Closing the gaps the assessment found — with your team or a partner — so risk actually changes.
Multi-cloud: Running meaningful workloads across more than one provider (for example AWS and Azure) under one risk conversation.
